Toronto – October & November 2011

Our first Toronto event of the year was held on RFTCauthors2October 27th at the Arcadian Court and we were very lucky to host such amazing authors.

Platinum-selling singer Jann Arden delighted the crowd with a discussion of her memoir, Falling Backwards.

The hilarious Terry Fallis showed us why he was awarded the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour with a witty speech about his satirical novel, The High Road.

Ami McKay wowed the audience just as much with new novel The Virgin Cure as she did with bestselling debut The Birth House.

Despite some last-minute lineup changes due to circumstances beyond our control, the November 22nd event at The Old Mill was a huge success. Ticket holders were treated to a wonderful night with the following best-selling authors:

RFTCbooks

Camilla Gibb, Trillium Book Award winner and author of The Beauty of Humanity Movement

Wayne Johnston, recipient of the Charles Taylor Prize for creative non-fiction and author of A World Elsewhere

Dan Needles, Leacock Medal for Humour winner and author of Wingfield’s World

We are especially thankful to Wayne Johnston and Dan Needles for stepping in with such little notice to fill our last minute voids. Both authors were extremely funny and engaging and we couldn’t imagine the night without them.
